Ingredients

  • 2 c. fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Add 1/2 cup sugar to drained and cleaned blueberries and set aside.
  3. Grease a 16 x 10 x 1/4-inch jelly roll pan.
  4. Mix 2 tablespoons sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Cut in 6 tablespoons butter into the dry mixture until flakey.
  6. Add egg and milk to the mixture and beat until smooth.
  7. Roll out the dough onto the prepared jelly roll pan and spread evenly.
  8. Spread 2 tablespoons butter over the dough.
  9. Spread the sugared blueberries over the buttered dough and seal the edges.
  10. Bake for 1 hour until golden and cooked through.
