Ingredients

  • 3 medium bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Grease a large loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and the sugars. Add in the mashed bananas, and beat well. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in the yogurt and vanilla.
  3. Sift together the flour and all the dry ingredients except the nuts. Add this to the batter, and mix well. Stir in the nuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
