Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 package frozen broccoli
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • dash of cayenne
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups Swiss or Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Bake the 9-inch pie crust and remove from oven.
  2. Brush the crust with Dijon mustard.
  3. Cook the frozen broccoli as directed, then drain and chop.
  4. Mix the chopped broccoli with whipping cream, eggs, salt, cayenne, nutmeg, and cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
  6. Sprinkle sunflower seeds around the edges of the top, if desired.
  7. Bake at 370°F for 35 minutes or until set.
  8. Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
