- Arrange the fish in a single layer in a heatproof platter or shallow baking pan.
- In a small saucepan, combine lemon juice, butter, grated onion, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the mixture, stirring, until blended and heated through.
- Pour the sauce over the fish.
- Preheat the broiler.
- Broil the fish slowly about 4 inches from the flame, basting 2 or 3 times with the sauce, until the fish is browned and flakes when tested with a fork.
- Sprinkle with paprika after the final basting.
- Arrange cooked baby carrots and asparagus spears around the edge of the platter and serve.
