Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, oats, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix egg whites, corn syrup, and vanilla.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
  4. Scoop the dough onto nonstick cookie sheets and flatten slightly if desired.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.
  7. Remove from sheet and cool completely on wire racks.
