- Mix together bacon, chopped beef or ham, sliced mushrooms, oleo, and pepper in a bowl.
- Crumble the cooked bacon and finely chop the beef or ham.
- Sprinkle the mixture with flour and then add milk, stirring well.
- Heat the mixture and stir until thickened.
- In a separate bowl, scramble the eggs into 1/2 cup oleo until well combined.
- Use a large deep dish casserole or pan, approximately 9 x 13 inches.
- Layer the sauce mixture and scrambled eggs in the casserole, ending with the sauce on top. Usually, make four layers.
- Cover the casserole tightly with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Bake at 275°F (135°C) for 1 hour.
- Can be prepared a day ahead, covered, and refrigerated before baking.
