Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash browns
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • Garlic powder to taste (optional)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen hash browns.
  2. Combine the thawed hash browns, melted butter, salt, pepper, minced onion, garlic powder (if using), cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and grated cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Dot the top with 1/2 cup of melted butter and sprinkle with crushed corn flakes.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until hot and bubbly.
