Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. chopped bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can lima beans
  • 1 can pork and beans with molasses

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  2. Cook the chopped bacon in a separate pan until crispy.
  3. Cook the chopped onion in a separate pan until softened.
  4. Add cooked bacon, onions, and all remaining ingredients to a pot.
  5. Warm the mixture through over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot. The dish can be frozen for later use.
