Tips & Substitutions

For a lighter version, you can substitute lean ground turkey for the beef and use low-fat cooking oil. If you don't have tomato paste, crushed tomatoes can work as a substitute. Ensure the cabbage leaves are flexible enough to roll without tearing; if they're too stiff, parboil them a little longer. Experiment with adding spices like Cajun seasoning for an extra kick.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the Cajun French Cabbage Rolls with a side of crusty bread and a fresh garden salad for a balanced meal. They pair beautifully with Spanish Soup for a hearty dinner. For a delicious twist, consider serving them with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place them in a baking dish, cover with foil, and warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes or until heated through. You can also microwave individual portions for a quick meal.
