Ingredients

  • 1 pkg active dry yeast
  • 1/4 c warm water
  • 1 c cottage cheese heated
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp grated onion
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp dill weed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 c flour

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in warm water; set aside.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients, except flour.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Stir in yeast mixture.
  5. Gradually add flour, beating by hand, to form a stiff dough.
  6. Place in well-greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  7. Cover and let rise for 50 to 60 minutes.
  8. Punch down the dough.
  9. Let rise again for 30 to 40 minutes.
  10. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
