Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups dry cherries
  • 7 cups chopped pecans
  • 6 slices crystallized pineapple
  • 1/2 pound white raisins

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and brown sugar together until well combined.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in dry cherries, chopped pecans, crystallized pineapple, and white raisins.
  6. Roll the mixture into small balls.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
