Chewy, nutty cereal yogurt bars combine crunchy Grape-Nuts with creamy fruit-flavored yogurt, making a wholesome treat perfect for breakfast, snack time, or on-the-go energy bites.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Grape-Nuts
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) container fruit flavored yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Combine cereal, 3/4 cup flour, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  3. Pat half of the mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan to form the crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, egg, and 2 tablespoons flour to make the filling.
  5. Spread the yogurt mixture over the crumb crust in the pan.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool, then cut into bars and serve.
