Ingredients

  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 10 oz. crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • dash ground red pepper

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle bacon, onion, and cheese in the bottom of the unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
  2. Beat the eggs slightly in a bowl.
  3. Add the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and ground red pepper to the eggs and mix well.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon, onion, and cheese in the pie shell.
  5. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 300°F and continue baking for 30 more minutes.
  7. Let the pie stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
