Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 6 to 8 hard rolls
  • 3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  2. Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper; lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Hollow out the rolls, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.
  4. Fill the hollowed rolls with the meat mixture.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the filled rolls.
  6. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
