  2. In a large bowl, mix egg, pepper, cheddar cheese, lean ground beef, catsup, milk, mustard, bread crumbs, and salt.
  3. Split the rolls in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread heaping 3/4 cup of the meat mixture on the cut sides of each roll half.
  5. Place the prepared rolls on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes.
