Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) can chopped mushrooms
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup dry bread cubes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Drain mushrooms, reserving the liquid.
  2. Cook chopped onion in butter or oleo until translucent.
  3. Combine cooked onion with 1/4 cup of the mushrooms, bread cubes, 1/4 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper, and 3 tablespoons of mushroom liquid until moist.
  4. Mix ground beef with 1/3 cup of evaporated milk and remaining salt.
  5. Form the beef mixture into patties and stuff with the mushroom and bread filling.
  6. Seal the edges and cook the stuffed burgers on a grill or skillet until fully cooked.
