Chicken Breasts With Wine
Tender chicken breasts are coated in seasoned bread crumbs, then baked with wine, mushrooms, grapes, and aromatic vegetables for a flavorful, elegant meal suitable for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 boned chicken breasts, cut into serving pieces, skin removed ⓘ
- bread crumbs mixed with cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder ⓘ
- 1/2 cup sliced onions ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or bouillon cubes ⓘ
- sliced fresh or canned mushrooms ⓘ
- 1/2 cup white wine ⓘ
- seedless green grapes ⓘ
- 2 to 3 eggs ⓘ
- flour
Instructions
- Dip each chicken cutlet in flour, then beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs mixed with cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Fry the coated chicken cutlets until golden brown, then remove and place in a baking dish.
- Sauté sliced onions until translucent, then remove from pan.
- Sauté sliced mushrooms until tender, then remove from pan.
- In the same pan, mix white wine, chicken broth, and sautéed onions.
- Pour the wine and broth mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Cover and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Ten minutes before the end of baking, spread sautéed mushrooms and seedless green grapes over the chicken.
- Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
