Ingredients

  • 8 oz. package small noodles
  • 3 cups cooked and chopped chicken
  • 1 cup milk or chicken gravy
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in boiling water for 20 minutes, then drain.
  2. In a saucepan, make the sauce by combining milk or chicken gravy, flour, butter, chopped green pepper, and salt; cook until thickened.
  3. Add mushroom soup to the sauce and mix well.
  4. In a casserole dish, combine cooked noodles, chopped cooked chicken, and the sauce mixture.
  5. Top with corn flakes.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
