Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c. grated onion
  • 2 (2 lb.) boned, skinned chicken breasts, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, cheese, paprika, salt, oregano, garlic salt, mustard and onion.
  2. Dip chicken pieces in milk; dip into flour mixture.
  3. Fry pieces in 1/4-inch of oil at 365° until brown on each side.
  4. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Serve immediately with toothpicks.
  6. Yields 25 to 30 appetizers.
