Tips & Substitutions

For a quicker version, use rotisserie chicken instead of boiling and shredding your own. You can also substitute the black beans with kidney beans or use fresh tomatoes if you prefer. To enhance the flavor, consider adding a splash of lime juice or some fresh cilantro. For a spicier kick, try adding diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper. This recipe also pairs well with other Mexican recipes like Chicken And Cheese Enchilada.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the chicken taco soup in bowls topped with broken corn chips and a generous sprinkle of grated Cheddar cheese for extra flavor. You could also add a dollop of sour cream or guacamole for creaminess. This soup goes wonderfully with a side of quesadillas or tortilla wraps, making it a perfect meal for any day of the week.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover chicken taco soup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm it on the stovetop over medium heat until heated through, stirring occasionally. You can also reheat it in the microwave, using a microwave-safe container, for about 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through for even heating.
