Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 8 oz. spaghetti
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can water or broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cups grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken until cooked through; remove the bone and shred or chop the meat.
  2. Cook the spaghetti in chicken broth until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the cream of mushroom soup, water or broth, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and chopped celery.
  4. Cook the mixture together for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Mix the cooked chicken, spaghetti, soup mixture, and 2 cups of grated cheese in a large bowl.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a well buttered casserole dish.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 35 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
