Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. processed American cheese
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. instant minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp. instant garlic
  • 1/16 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder

Instructions

  1. Bring the processed American cheese and cream cheese to room temperature; mix together until well blended.
  2. Add salt, instant minced onion, instant garlic, ground red pepper, lemon juice, chopped pecans, and chili powder.
  3. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Shape the mixture into rolls 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  5. Chill the rolls for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll each in chili powder and wrap in foil.
  7. Chill until firm.
  8. Cut into slices 1/2-inch thick and serve on round crackers.
