Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup prunes
  • 1/2 cup apricots
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2 apples, peeled
  • 2 fresh pears
  • 1 can unsweetened red cherries
  • 1 box cherry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Soak prunes, apricots, and raisins in 3 cups cold water.
  2. Add cinnamon stick, peeled apples, and fresh pears to the soaking mixture.
  3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the fruits are tender.
  4. Add undrained red cherries to the mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. Dissolve cherry gelatin in boiling water.
  6. Stir the dissolved gelatin into the cooked fruit mixture.
  7. Chill the soup overnight before serving.
