- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with waxed paper, grease well, and set aside.
- Sift salt, baking powder, and cake flour into a mixing bowl.
- Add sifted brown sugar, granulated sugar, grated semi-sweet chocolate, chopped dates, and chopped walnuts to the bowl.
- Mix thoroughly until combined.
- Whip in the well-beaten eggs until the mixture is evenly incorporated.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and cut into bars while still hot.
- Allow to cool completely, then remove from the pan.
