Tips & Substitutions

For a heartier dish, consider adding bell peppers or onions to the mix. You can also substitute the kielbasa with turkey sausage or a vegetarian option for a lighter meal. If you prefer a smoky flavor, try adding a dash of smoked paprika to the vegetables. Make sure to cut the vegetables into uniform sizes for even cooking.

Serving Suggestions

This dish pairs beautifully with rye bread for a complete meal. You can also serve it alongside a simple green salad or crusty bread to soak up any juices. For a comforting finish, consider serving it with a slice of Maybelle'S Apple Cake for dessert. The combination of flavors will make for a satisfying supper.

Storage & Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, place the dish in the oven at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes or until warmed through. You can also microwave individual portions for a quicker option, but be careful not to overcook the vegetables.
