Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 package chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons rum extract
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, chopped pecans, and chips; set aside.
  2. Cream the butter; add the salt and icing sugar and beat until smooth.
  3. Add rum extract and cold water to the creamed mixture.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture and blend well.
  5. Mold the dough into small balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 25 minutes until golden.
  7. While warm, roll the cookies in icing sugar to coat.
  8. When cool, sprinkle with additional icing sugar if desired.
