Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the cooking wine and garlic for a few hours before cooking. You can substitute jasmine or basmati rice for the uncooked rice, and if you don't have green peas, frozen corn works as a great alternative. Ensure to keep an eye on the cooking time as different ovens may vary.

Serving Suggestions

This dish pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal. You can also serve it with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful sauce. For a fun addition, consider serving it alongside Buffet Chicken Wings for a hearty gathering.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the chicken and rice mixture in a skillet with a splash of chicken broth or water to prevent drying out, and warm over low heat until heated through.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use brown rice instead of white rice?

Yes, you can use brown rice, but keep in mind that it requires a longer cooking time and more liquid. Adjust the chicken broth accordingly and be prepared to bake it for an additional 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender.

What can I substitute for olive oil?

You can use vegetable oil or canola oil as alternatives to olive oil. If you're looking for a flavor boost, consider using avocado oil, which has a similar richness and is great for high-heat cooking.

Is there a vegetarian version of this recipe?

Absolutely! You can replace the chicken with chickpeas or tofu and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. Add more vegetables like carrots, zucchini, or mushrooms for added flavor and texture.
