Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil ⓘ
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/4 cup sugar ⓘ
- 1/4 cup honey ⓘ
- 1 large egg ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups mixed candied fruit, chopped ⓘ
- 1 cup nuts, chopped ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix vegetable oil, brown sugar, sugar, honey, egg, and vanilla until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in chopped candied fruit and chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
