Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 package Lipton onion soup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 bottle chili sauce (Heinz)
  • 1 chili sauce bottle full of water
  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, Lipton onion soup, eggs, bread crumbs, and drained sauerkraut.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake uncovered for 1.5 hours.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, mix chili sauce, water from the chili sauce bottle, and cranberry sauce in a saucepan.
  6. Heat the sauce mixture until well combined and heated through.
  7. Serve the meatballs hot, topped with the sauce.
