Cinfully Good Chili
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt ⓘ
- 1 pound ground beef chuck ⓘ
- 2 each onions finely chopped ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic minced ⓘ
- 1 cup tomato sauce ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons ketchup ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon black pepper ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin ground ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves ground ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon mace ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander ground ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom seeds ground ⓘ
- 1/2 each bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon honey ⓘ
- 1/2 ounce chocolate unsweetened unsweetened, grated ⓘ
- 1 x tomato juice as needed ⓘ
- 9 ounces spaghetti thick, cooked, in butter ⓘ
- 16 ounces red kidney beans canned, heated, drained ⓘ
- 2 each onions chopped ⓘ
Instructions
- Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large sillet.
- Heat to medium and add the meat, the first two chopped onions that appear first in the recipe, the garlic.
- Add tomato sauce, ketchup, water and vinegar.
- When mixture boils, add the rest of the salt, the remaining spices and herbs, the honey and chocolate.
- Cover and simmer on very low heat for about 1 hour, stirring dry.
