Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 apples, peeled and cored
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup nuts
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples and place them in an 8 x 8-inch greased baking dish.
  2. Add raisins, nuts, and brown sugar over the apples.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Add the egg and stir with a fork until the mixture forms balls.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly over the apple mixture.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
