- Blanch the pine nuts, almonds, and walnut halves in boiling water to remove skins.
- In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until a smooth paste forms.
- Place the pesto into a large warm bowl.
- Cook pasta until al dente.
- Using a fork, transfer the cooked pasta directly from the pot onto the pesto in the bowl.
- Toss the pasta and pesto together well.
- Add 2 tablespoons of hot water from the pasta pot and toss again.
- Serve immediately in hot soup bowls.
