Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bring to a boil the margarine, cocoa, and water.
  2. Cool the mixture and pour over the flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Mix well and bake in an 18 x 12 x 1-inch pan at 400°F for 20 minutes.
