Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak, cut in strips
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (1 3/8 oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. water

Instructions

  1. Brown the steak in butter.
  2. Add mushrooms and stir in the soup mix and flour.
  3. Pour in milk and water, then cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 minutes, stirring twice.
  5. Blend in sour cream.
  6. Heat through without boiling.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.
