- Bake corn bread as directed on the package. Cool and crumble into a large bowl.
- Add bread cubes to the corn bread and set aside.
- Cook sausage with sage until the meat is done.
- Drain and discard the grease from the sausage.
- Sauté chopped celery and chopped onion until tender.
- Add sautéed celery and onion to the sausage mixture.
- Add beaten eggs and chicken broth to the combined breads and sausage mixture.
- Toss lightly to combine all ingredients.
- For more moist stuffing, add 1/4 cup water and mix well.
- Lightly spoon stuffing into the turkey cavity.
- Bake the stuffed turkey as directed.
- Place any remaining stuffing in a 1 to 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, cover, and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
