Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. coconut

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar until creamy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto greased and floured cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 minutes until golden brown.
