Cranberry & Caramel Date Bars
Sweet and tart cranberry and caramel date bars combine oats, nuts, and a buttery crust for a delicious treat perfect for snacking or dessert gatherings.

Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine cranberries and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- In another bowl, mix 2 1/3 cups of flour, oats, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, light brown sugar, and baking soda. Add melted oleo and mix well.
- Reserve 1 cup of the crumb mixture.
- Press the remaining crumb mixture firmly on the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped dates, chopped nuts, and cranberry mixture over the crust.
- Mix caramel ice cream topping with the remaining 1/3 cup of flour and spoon over the fruit and nuts.
- Top with the reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Cool before cutting into bars.
