Ingredients

  • 12 oz cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup regular oats
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 large unpeeled pears, cored and sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup margarine

Instructions

  1. In a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish, thoroughly mix cranberries, sliced pears, sugar, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of flour; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix remaining 3 tablespoons of flour with brown sugar.
  3. Use a pastry blender to cut in margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in oats and chopped walnuts; sprinkle evenly over the fruit mixture.
  5. Bake in a 375°F oven for 40 minutes.
  6. Let stand for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve plain or with milk.
