Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 3 to 4 large celery pieces, chopped
  • 2 to 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 2 to 3 cans tomato soup
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry hamburger patties as for regular hamburgers and drain.
  2. Combine cans of tomato soup (add 3/4 can of water to each can), chopped onions, chopped celery, and chopped green pepper in a pot.
  3. Cook until onions, celery, and green peppers are tender.
  4. Crumble the browned hamburger patties into the soup mixture.
  5. Simmer on low until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve on slightly toasted open hamburger buns.
