Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider adding a dash of lemon juice or some chopped fresh herbs like parsley or dill. If you don't have Old Bay seasoning, a mix of paprika, celery salt, and black pepper can serve as a good substitute. For a lighter option, try Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Ensure the crab meat is well-drained to avoid excess moisture in the mixture.

Serving Suggestions

These crab skimmers make a fantastic appetizer or light lunch. Serve them alongside a fresh green salad or some crispy potato wedges for a satisfying meal. They also pair beautifully with a chilled white wine or a light beer. For a complete seafood experience, consider serving with dishes like Seafood Delight Salmon Cakes.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover crab mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. If you have leftover assembled skimmers, cover them tightly and refrigerate, but for best results, consume them fresh. To reheat, place them under the broiler for a few minutes until warmed through and bubbly.
