Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. raw oatmeal
  • 1 c. rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and egg until well blended.
  2. Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, blending well.
  4. Fold in the raw oatmeal and rice cereal last.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
