Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cornbread, prepared and crumbled
  • 8 slices day old bread, crumbled
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 2 c. chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Crumble the cornbread and day-old bread into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped onion, diced celery, sage, and pepper to the bread mixture.
  3. Pour in the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, stirring until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a crock-pot, dot with margarine on top.
  5. Cover and cook on high for at least 2 hours, or on low for at least 3 hours, until heated through and flavors meld.
