Ingredients

  • 1 lb. margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 4 tsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 1/2 cups sifted flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine until smooth.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in the soda, salt, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
  4. Gradually stir in the sifted flour until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  6. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for approximately 8 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
