Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops, browned
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup sifted flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 small grated onion
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in sifted flour and gradually add milk, cooking over low heat until thickened.
  3. Add the beaten egg and cook, beating well, until the mixture reaches the consistency of mashed potatoes.
  4. Mix in the grated onion, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  5. Serve the topping over browned pork chops.
