A hearty casserole combining ground beef, green beans, noodles, and melted cheese, baked to perfection. Perfect for family dinners and comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 lb American cheese
  • 8 oz noodles
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a heavy skillet, melt margarine and brown ground beef with chopped onions, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat mushroom soup slightly.
  4. Grate the American cheese.
  5. Drain green beans.
  6. Layer green beans, noodles, grated cheese, cooked meat, and mushroom soup in a 12 x 9-inch casserole dish in that order.
  7. Top with a little grated cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350°F.
  9. This casserole can be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
  10. If refrigerated, bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
