- Add milk and melted butter, then beat until well blended.
- Stir in chopped walnuts and vanilla extract.
- Spoon the batter into a greased 2-quart baking dish.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar and remaining 4 tablespoons of cocoa.
- Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in the dish.
- Pour hot water over the top carefully.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 35 minutes until the cake is set and the pudding is bubbly.
