A hearty and flavorful sandwich filled with seasoned meat, cheese, pickles, and onions, then dipped in egg mixture and fried to golden perfection. Perfect for lunch or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups hamburger or sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup salad dressing
  • 1 pint pickles
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 slices bread

Instructions

  1. Fry fresh hamburger or sausage until done.
  2. Drain off liquid. If canned meat is used, take it out of jars and cut into chunks.
  3. Grind pickles and onions, then mix meat, pickles, onions, cheese, and salad dressing together.
  4. Spread bread slices with the salad dressing mixture.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top to make sandwiches.
  6. Beat eggs and milk together.
  7. Dip both sides of the sandwiches in the egg mixture and brown well in a skillet.
