Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium raw potato, grated
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, ground sage, garlic powder, grated potato, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into walnut-sized balls.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a skillet with a small amount of oil.
  4. Drain on paper towels and place the meatballs in a single layer in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  5. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and one can of water.
  6. Pour the soup mixture over the meatballs.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  8. Serve with seasoned rice or as hors d'oeuvres.
