Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (1 1/2 lb.) loaf bread
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 lb. fresh crabmeat

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook and stir onion in butter until soft.
  3. Cut crusts from bread; crumble bread into small bits in a large bowl.
  4. Add eggs, salt, and mustard; mix well.
  5. Stir in onion, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and mayonnaise.
  6. Gently fold in crabmeat.
  7. Shape mixture into small balls.
  8. Place the balls on cookie sheets.
  9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with mustard sauce.
