Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider using half-and-half instead of milk. If you're short on time, you can use frozen broccoli instead of fresh. To enhance flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or some garlic powder. If you want a bit of heat, a dash of cayenne pepper works well. Remember to stir constantly when adding ingredients to prevent sticking.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the soup hot, garnished with additional grated cheese and a sprinkle of black pepper. It pairs beautifully with Grandma Bierbach'S Parker House Rolls for a comforting meal. For a complete dinner, consider serving a light salad, like Broccoli And Cauliflower Salad, as a side to balance the richness of the soup.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover soup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm on the stovetop over low heat, stirring frequently until heated through. Avoid boiling the soup again after adding milk to maintain its creamy texture.
